Review of Jack Reacher (2012) by Matthew L — 17 Oct 2014

I really enjoyed this film. Tom Cruise plays a Jack Reacher who is good at everything. He wins fist fights in seconds, remembers long strings of numbers, and has an incredible situational awareness. The movie still finds ways to put him in convincing challenging positions.

The movie moves with deliberate speed. It takes the time it needs to setup the plot, but throws itself into high gear when its time for action. It avoid actions movie cliches, while still offering the same level of thrills.

With a subtle humor, and strong supporting cast, this movie is definitively worth your time.
