Review of Jack Goes Boating (2010) by Dana M — 24 Oct 2010
Even worse than Never Let Me Go (hard to accomplish), Jack Goes Boating is an amateurish, cardboard attempt at exploring relationships, both old and new. I was looking forward to Philip Seymour Hoffman's directorial debut, but to say that I was simply disappointed would be an understatement.
This film was so completely terrible in every way, I felt that I had been beaten up for an hour and a half. This is a total assault on entertainment and intelligence, a completely unenjoyable and pretentious waste of time.
