Review of Jack Frost (1998) by Sean N — 29 Jan 2010
Some people might hate it, but you know what, I like it. Decent family film. Not for everyone, that's understandable.
A lot of movies use the character Jack Frost. Hell, another movie with the same name was released 2 years before where Jack Frost is a serial killer. In this movie, he is a jazz musician who misses out on many events in hsi son Charlie's life. One fateful night, he is killed in a car crash on the way from a canceled gig.
One year later, he returns as a snowman through the music played on a harmonica that he gave to his son. Now, he's back and plans to spend more time with his son than he ever had.
Overall, the sole problem that I had with this movie is the fact that Jack Frost returns as a snowman through a harmonica. A.) Is that even possible? B.) kinda redundant that he comes back as a snowman. Still, I really didn't have much problems with this movie.
There are some 'adult' jokes in this movie. For example, when Frost realizes he is a snowman, he finds that he has no *****.
Still, good family film.
