Fun Canadian B-movie plays alternately as a satire of and a tribute to the cheesy monster movies of the '50s, but is ultimately done in by hopeless performances and a script that is too cliché-ridden to be entirely compelling.
Well intentioned, and fun for genre fans (who might want to bump the above rating up by one star).
