Review of Jack Be Nimble (1993) by Trent R — 07 Feb 2011
Odd and pretentious horror/fairy-tale, with a well cast Arquette playing the homicidal half of a pair of separated, psychic twins. He's a clever lad, liberating himself from an evil patriarch (Tony Barry) with the use of his homemade, steam-driven hypnosis machine.
It's not in the same league as Company of Wolves, Black Moon, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders or the like. But Arquette is well cast for his androgynous looks opposite the four mute, sociopathic "sisters" and Barry is great in a small but key role.
