Review of Jack and Jill vs. The World (2008) by Sugeiny T — 05 Oct 2008

Hmm what to say about this? Lets start by saying that I had never heard of it until one day when I'm at the video store and saw it there. I happen to pick it up 'cuz I realize that Freddie Prinze Jr is in it and he looks a little over weight.

I leave it, but decide that I'll watch it some other time, so that other time comes and I rent it. My expectatives were really low, but it was Freddie and I've probably seen all his movies so I couldn't just leave this behind.

The movie starts and I start getting into it, the plot is interesting. The acting is fairly good, Taryn Manning is always a joy to watch and as a fan of Freddie I just had to embrace him. I loved to see him in his character, it was something that I had never seen him do before and to see him do well in it made me happy.

Then there was Peter Stebbings, his character was probably my favorite and his performance was definitely superior to the others. He was funny, complicated and sweet, all at the same time. Still, the movie lacks a lot.

Everything in it was good, but nothing was exceptional, there were no inside jokes to make up for what it lacked, nor shirtless hotties, much less any impressive setting that would make me forget of everything that wasn't amazing, hence my reason for not hating this but not being able to rate it any higher.
