Review of Jack and Jill (2011) by Bruno D — 13 Mar 2016
Adam Sandler really needs to make a good movie soon because my expectations for his movies nowadays always are near the bottom. It's unfortunate because he still makes me laugh in all of his movies but he has potential to do better.
This movie did make me laugh but it was all really stupid humor. The film relies on nothing but stereotypes and racist humor (yeah that's in a PG rated movie). It will probably offend a lot of people.
The last 30 minutes of this movie really bring it down though. It is almost impossible to sit through. Until then it's not God awful but it's not good either. The worst part of this movie is the character of Jill.
Her voice is just annoying and you hate tolerating it within seconds. She's supposed to be annoying but man it's bad here. Again, immature jokes and goofy humor is there, but that's it. The story is lazy, generic, and just poorly done (not to mention biologically impossible!).
