I see no huge problems with the makeup, I think it's possibly its slow pace that maybe doesn't catch the viewer's interest. But with tolerance, you'll see a moving, touching and beyond emotional end where even those who didn't know a "thang" about this J.

Edgar in the first place tends to shed a tear or to (me), and this is why it reaches up to four stars although its poor narration. Not to forget excellent performances... in particular Mr. DiCaprio.
