Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Ting-Jen H — 31 Jan 2009
I believe this is Kristin Scott Thomas's best performance to date. Love how the film develops from a sense of suppressed quietness to an avalanching release of emotions - all gradually revealed with the heightened (yet hushed) suspense which haunts the film, as well as its audience, throughout.
A very emotive and powerful film, without much artificiality. For me it was impossible to stop the tears from streaming down my face!
