A very good character study. If you think the secret is that she killed your son, you are wrong. The question is why and the over arcing theme is why and how far do we need to go to keep our humanity. A classic french film in that the characters reaction to situations are more important than the situation itself.
While most may find this dull, as a sociology student, people and society are what fascinate me and this film shows that relationship flawlessly.
