Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Peter M — 08 Mar 2009
"I've loved you so long" is a great movie, not only about bonds to be recreated after a separation as I read somewhere (this is a very superficial key to read it), but about deep feelings like love and death, family and friendship, the freedom and the constriction of feelings, and the contrasts between them in everyday life.
It's a meaningful and touching movie, painful but also open to hope and re-birth. It's a movie about a murder made for love and the consequences of this extreme act that the main character accept with moving strenght.
K. Scott Thomas is absolutely astonishing in this role of brave woman. It's a clever story directed in a clever way, with an absolut control of all the characters.
