Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Andy J — 29 Mar 2009
Not a very big Kristen Scott Thomas, so I was apprehensive to see her in a film where she's in 95% of the scenes. Not only is it her best performance but I feel like we're seeing the "real" (whatever that means) K.
S. Thomas for the first time. That being said, there was a lot about the story and plotpoints that seemed extremely forced to me -- like the writer and director thought to themselves, "How can we make it even darker.
" Not every moment has to have tension or be "interesting." OVerall, a good film with a lot of mistakes.
