Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Sandy K — 18 Jul 2009
This is a quiet, at times slow paced movie, but I believe that's what the director intended. It's a story of a woman toughened up by a long prison sentenced and slowly trying to get back into a family environment.
The "shocking ending" as another reviewer puts it, is not really supposed to be a "shocking ending". The films gives you tidbits of information that supports what is told at the end, not really intended to delivery a sharp turn to the story but more to peak at an emotional state. This is not a suspense movie. The film is based on her journey in life out of prison to get back to getting her life back to normal and how hard it may be somebody that has been alone for so long.
