Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by David F — 11 Aug 2009
Good film that is made even better than it is thanks to a fantastic central performance by Kristin Scott Thomas. It's a film that needs a reading between the lines - not everything is spelled out for you.
Had this been scripted by most American writers, it would most likely have turned into a melodramatic disaster. One only needs to think about MY SISTER'S KEEPER in comparison. Jodi Picoult (and Jeremy Leven and Nick Cassavetes) wish they could be this good.
