Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Lorenza P — 15 Nov 2009
An intense character study that is delicately and intricately directed. This movie is an engrossing drama which very slowly peels back the layers of one woman's emotional trauma and redemption. I am normally not a fan of Kristin Scott Thomas, but I was extremely impressed with her performance in this film.
Her role does not have a whole lot of dialog, but focuses instead on her physicality and her ability to react to what is going on around her. Elsa Zylberstein's performance as her sister provides a wonderful counterpoint and makes the sibling relationship very believable.
