Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Tichafara C — 15 Dec 2009
I saw this film after hearing good things about it. Overall, this is a sympathetically told story of a womans' struggle to re-integrate into society after a long time in prison. At the core of this film is the complex relationship between Juliette and her sister Lea.
The film was a bit slow in parts but the emotional struggle & journey both sister's go through as they reminisce about their childhood, painful memories and try to rediscover each other is very well portrayed and acted out.
A film worth watching.
