Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Cecilia B — 29 Jul 2009
You have to be patient with this film. The characters develop slowly and the story is quite painful. I kept waiting for the elder sister's fragile post-prison life to fall apart. It is definately not an American film, i.
E. the pacing, story, and ending are all against what Hollywood would sell us. That said small, independent film makers in the US have made equally good films. The actors are excellent. You like the sisters.
The house is beautiful. (Don't all Europeans live in beautiful, wonderfully restored homes?).
