Review of Ivanhoe (1952) by Juan Manuel A — 05 Feb 2011
.......... Excellent adventure film that looks longingly of a beautiful Technicolor. Posted many times on Saturday afternoon. Thorpe made by a master, well basted script and the scenes of the tournament that are most remembered along with the grief of Elizabeth Taylor (beautiful) and Joan Fontaine for the love of Robert Taylor.
Robert Taylor and Richard Thorpe coincide in two medieval adventure films of lesser quality (The Adventures of Quentin Duward and the knights of King Arthur). The soundtrack of the great composer Miklos Rozsa was nominated for an Oscar.
