Review of It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012) by Tegan K — 02 Jan 2015
Through his unconventional stick figure animation style, Hertzfeldt tells the story of Bill, a man with a brain tumor, as he struggles with the loss of his memory and potential sanity. As the narrative unfolds, it is all at once humorous, touching, terrifying and insane, which is to say it wonderfully captures the human condition.
By the end it leaves the audience with the feeling that, indeed, it's such a beautiful day.
