Review of It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012) by Will H — 09 Aug 2015
"It's Such A Beautiful Day" is one of the most endearing movies about a mentally troubled stick figure trying to make sense of his past memories and the life he has left I have ever seen.
Don Hertzfeldt creates one of the most heart-achingly bittersweet characters out of a couple of lines named Bill, and through his journey battling an unspecified mental illness will you appreciate everything that constitutes life.
All of our pain, our sorrows, our regrets, our joys, and the beauty that me may not fully appreciate is shown here in this short, one hour collection of three short films that utilizes very poetic and philosophical ideas and language through narration that rivals some of the most revered authors living today.
I know you have Netlfix and an hour to spare. Make this film that hour. If you give it a chance, you might like it. I've given it a shot and I can say now that Don Hertzfeldt's "It's Such a Beautiful Day" is one of the best movies I've seen.
