Review of It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012) by Moonman1994 — 21 May 2015
Oddly introspective, slightly creepy and at times even a bit amusing. It's Such a Beautiful Day is a beautiful look in on a man struggling with an unmentioned mental disease but it goes further than just this.
It addresses thoughts such as those of death that many people have and the way it does it makes the viewer think about their own way that they have approached these issues. This is particularly amazing in the fact that all of the animation is very minimalist and it is all tied together nicely by classical music.
This being said the flow is odd at times making for a sort of surreal effect and some of the humor is good and dark and some of it just seems a bit out there.
