Review of It's So Easy and Other Lies (2016) by Scraper — 23 Nov 2016
It's Duff telling his life story in this really wanky kind of way. It keeps coming back to him on a dimly lit stage with five or six musician softly playing Guns n' Roses tunes, reading from the book he wrote.
For some reason, there's bits of paper animation interspersed with the interviews - maybe trying to do a Montage of Heck kinda thing. Occasionally it'll cut to Slash in a black vinyl booth piecing together the story which is all this movie is really worth.
Whenever Slash appears it's apparent that he's the only one that made it out of that band and into middle age with his cool intact.
