Review of It's Complicated (2009) by Daniel E — 07 Nov 2010
I've liked all of Nancy Meyers films. They have always been entertaining and featured great characters. This one was no exception; however, it's my least favorite. It's not a bad film at all, but not wonderful either.
One thing that I did love about it was the ending. It was the perfect ending and made complete sense. What I had a problem with was the casting of Steve Martin. While Streep and Baldwin had great chemistry, I didn't feel there was any chemistry between Streep and Martin.
The scenes between the aforementioned were great. They were funny and greatly entertaining. Now, the scenes between the latter lacked a certain something that made you want the typical hollywood ending for the film.
Overall, its an okay film that provides laughs and entertainment. It could have been better.
