Review of It's Complicated (2009) by Lindsey J — 19 Dec 2010
Well, anyone who's ever listened to "Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs" will know that the premis of this film is probably true to life (for a tiny minority of divorced couples, anyway).
Streep acted her part well, Baldwin made my skin crawl (perhaps that was supposed to happen?), Steve Martin was lovely but a bit wooden, and John Krasinski was very funny indeed. If the story is taken too seriously, I think viewers will hate it.
If you're looking for a comedy which lacks any kind of moral message, but shows one way of moving on after the loss of a relationship, then you'll probably like the film.
