Review of It's Complicated (2009) by Elin G — 28 Feb 2011
I was less impressed than I had hoped for. This director has the sad habit of pushing her female characters into overdrive with the big gestures and over the top laughs. Now Meryl Streep is wonderful, but not even she can pull of the tenth OMG-thats-so-awkward-it's-funny-laugh.
Also, the kids were just to damn pretty. It was distracting, I was pondering if they were casted for their looks or thier acting abilities. Aside from these issues, it had chunks of heartfelt moments and fun dialouge, but all in all the trailer beat the actual movie easily.
