Review of It's All Gone Pete Tong (2004) by Paul B — 21 Apr 2008
The writer/director of the Canadian low-brow classic "Fubar" repeats himself with another mockumentary about a head-banging substance abuser who has to deal with a life-altering medical problem.
Paul Kaye's performance in the lead role is phenomenal, and Mike Wilmot is perfectly cast as his fast talking boor of a manager, but the laughs are spread thinly, and the story meanders through the expected beats with none of the bargain-basement enthusiasm of Dowse's previous film.
