(1946) It's A Wonderful Life.
FANTASY/ DRAMA.
Film often showned on tv every year and definately ahead of it's time about a gaurdian angel who can't get his wings whose duty is to show George Bailey, magnificently played by James Stewart how life would look like without him. It is also about how an unselfish person can bring so much positive to the people around him even when he can be beaten to his lowest point it's the 'Don't do unto others what you don't want others do unto you'. It also takes an ingenious 'idea' about 'every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings' as Capras own, making it one of the most original and one of the best movies ever made.
Because this film has so many excellent points that it's hard to describe it's significence without an essay written about it, this includes poverty, greed, neglect etc... like "The Best Years Of Our Lives" there are so many criticsms that one movie could be divided and made into several films.
Masterpiece.
4 out of 4.
