Review of It's a Wonderful Life (1946) by Meredith W — 02 Dec 2012
This is a wholesome, feel good movie with a simple message. George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) grows up in the small town of Bedford Falls, dreaming dreams of adventure and travel, but circumstances conspire to keep him from realising his dreams.
Frustrated by his life he prepares to commit suicide on Christmas Eve until an angel arrives to show him a vision: what the world would have been like if he had never been born. It's a classic of the Christmas season - just plain old fashioned enjoyment.
