Yes, it's really that good. Stewart and Reed are magical together (That painfully long take of the two of them on the phone is just brilliant, brilliant acting). The story structure is singularly unique and perfect.
The ending is easily the most uplifting, sentimental, emotional sequence of all time, but it's a moment that feels positively, thoroughly EARNED in every way. No shortcuts or manipulation here. A beautiful masterpiece.
