A classic from an era of films far from my time, but its endearing qualities is quite evident. A kind of modern day A Christmas Carol, about family, friends, charity and goodwill. The pacing of the film may be somewhat slow for the first part, but picks up after that.
Stewart portrays how a good-hearted small town banker progress through his life, capturing different emotions of his character very well. Its message may be simple, but certainly touching and uplifting.
