Review of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) by Joe T — 15 Jan 2009
My former employer recommended this movie, and it's all-around hilarious. So many storylines cleverly interwoven, and never a dull moment at all. I thought I was going to die laughing as I watched Jonathan Winters attack Phil Silvers.
And I don't think I've ever seen anyone with an Oedipus-like complex like Dick Shawn's beatnik character (he was the voice of the Snow Miser in "The Year Without a Santa Claus").
Just be sure to set aside a good 2.5 hours to watch, laugh and enjoy!!
