Review of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) by Greg N — 04 Feb 2009
I know a lot of people love this movie, and it's a classic comedy, but it didn't really do it for me. It was just way too long and there was too much yelling and insanity to make the comedy bits work.
I did however find the final half hour or so entertaining, when they all finally get to the park. I guess I just liked the film when the main cast was always together, when they were off on their own and meeting up with all the cameos, the film just dragged on.
I guess I just needed to be more familiar with the comedians in the film, and well, I wasn't.
