Slapstick has never been my cup o' tea, but It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World takes my distaste for this brand of comedy to a new level. The producers must have decided that, when it comes to comedy, quantity supersedes quality.
This movie features just about every prominent comedian alive in 1963, from Milton Bearle to Buddy Hackett to The Three Stooges (in a pointless cameo). None of this can save the movie from Ethel Merman's shrieking or a ridiculously long running time.
