Review of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) by Lace — 14 May 2009
Notoriously overlong, but good fun all the same, with a handful of scenes that must be considered slapstick masterpieces, and a once in a lifetime cast that one can't help but wish were in a slightly better movie.
Well worth watching, though, for fans of classic comedy. The great Sid Caesar's faceoff against an uncooperative basement door is a particular highlight.
