Review of It Runs in the Family (2003) by Ivy Joy S — 11 Oct 2006
While I can appreciate the effort it would take for a man like Kirk Douglas to complete filming directly after taking a stroke, this movie is terrible. The characters are much too contrived. Rory Culkin was the only one of the bunch with any potential and even that was largely untapped.
I see what they were trying to do here with the "nice family movie" approach. However, it turned into a mishmash of subplots all falling short of meeting the message of the movie.
