Review of It Might Get Loud (2008) by Naked M — 14 Jan 2010
The movie was good in spite of the directing. I am hard pressed to find a way to make the subject matter more awesome,(greatest soloist, effect artist, and traditionalist all on the same set!!) and Guggenheim had a tough job trying to make them suck. He almost suceeded. The choppy voiceovers were irritating, and his style of jumping around, combined with his horrible scene changes were awful. It's hard to imagine making anything about Jimmy Page, Jack White, and the Edge anything short of perfection, but Guggenheim certainly tried.
A++++ for subject matter, F- for directing.
