Okay, when I heard a movie had been made with three of my absolute favourite guitarists ever in one place having jam sessions, I'll admit I geeked out a little. And while I thought the film could have drifted off into some kind of 'rock appreciation society only', it was surprisingly accessible even to a novice of the genre, with each of these guitar gods allowing the viewer into their lives as they revealed their influences and drives behind their creative successes.

Indeed, their creative ambitions is delightful to see, as each of the three still attempt to break rules and new ground in their field, never becoming complacent with their talents and always trying to 'create new struggles'.

I suppose if I had one gripe, I'd have liked to see more of their engrossing discussions, which seemed to be almost left to the end in favour of a biography of how each of them got into music (although this was still insightful and entertaining in itself, and probably intended to make them more accessible to the casual viewer), but when you see the look on White's face as Page launched into the riff of Whole Lotta Love, you remember that these icons have all had icons of their own, and they too would 'geek out' on their influences.

Seeing them all jamming along to The Weight at the end is what we all came to see though, three of the greatest guitarists ever with smiles on their faces enjoying the pleasure of music. Alongside The Last Waltz, Some Kind Of Monster, All Tomorrow's Parties and Festival Express, it's one of those documentaries which reinvigorates your love for music.
