This movie reminds me that cinema in the 1930s was more advanced than we generally imagine and just how much later efforts reflect the ground covered by films from this era, such as It Happened One Night.
Back in the day AMC used to air movies like this before it pulled a "TNN" and retooled its programming to appeal to the 18-34 male demographic.
