One of Capra's greatest achievements, and certainly one of the greatest road pictures of all time. It isn't flashy- the impeccable chemistry between pitch-perfect Gable and sweet Colbert is what carries the film, along with the sincere touch that its masterful director brings.
This was a crowd-pleaser right from the get-go, and nothing about the story has aged a bit.
