Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Corey O — 02 Sep 2008
Essentially the blueprint for Romantic Comedies, this is a lot more watchable than I expected a simplistic (by today's standards) archetype to be. In fact, it was real damn funny, with screwball gags that's surprisingly fresh to this day.
It's predictable in that you know how it will all end, but it merely provides a constant sense of comfort rather than, well, being plain predictable.
