Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Masorad ( — 21 Jan 2009
"Excuse me, lady. But that upon which you sit is mine." Thus the denouement of the film is telegraphed, but it's still a helluva lot of fun watching Gable cast against type, Colbert gagging on her silver spoon, a minimum of set pieces (not your typical drawing-room thing, here), Capra's usual populist brio.
Fun to see an autogyro too.
