Claudette colbert is really annoying and clark gable is really charming, so they kind of balance each other out in a weird way. this movie would not sweep like it did if it came out this year, but I don't really see anything wrong with it and I enjoyed it for sure.
I feel like four stars is generous but at the same time there are really no obvious flaws in the movie.
