Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Ookami O — 09 Oct 2009
No doubt, one of the first romantic comedies. I'm sure it's a heavy influence on later romcoms. I'm a big fan of some of the "movie of old" but haven't seen too many Clark Gable pics.
I really like him. I know it's hard for some people to enjoy these oldies because of the slower pace, seminal special effects and film tricks, and different acting style but I find them fascinating.
There is a reason they are "classics". The only problem is that to some people they seem "old" because the films that have come after have ripped them off so much (or they were "influenced" by).
Great film.
