Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Kezia R — 22 May 2013

I adore this movie. It is just plain... adorable. That is the perfect word for it. Clark Gable is wonderful, always, and he is especially wonderful here. He plays his part perfectly and is utterly charming and endearing throughout the entire film.

I can't blame Claudette Colbert's Ellie for falling for him. She was fantastic as well, playing the spoiled brat running away from her father. These two really lit up the screen together, and their chemistry is amazing.

The hitchhiking scene is famous for a reason! This is one of the best romantic comedies that there is, and I think everyone should see it.
