Review of It Happened One Night (1934) by Hayley D — 03 Jul 2009
As a film tragic, this is a film I had to see because it turns up in everything you see and read about film history. And it's not surprising. 1934 was a great year for film (the Thin Man came out in 1934) and it is totally deserving of its 5 Oscars (one of only 3 films to win all 5 of the main Oscars: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest & Silence of the Lambs were the others).
Gable was in great form and Claudette Colbert was wonderful as the female lead.
