Dumb, derivative and above all, awful.
How this film can be considered in such high regard is probably the most menacing thing about it. When you consider that this scores higher than Hitchcock's legendary "Psycho" or Carpenters masterful "Halloween", you will be deeply disturbed.
The plot is riddled with holes and is no more complex than a Tom and Jerry cartoon and it's multiple levels are presumably that it is a metaphor for STD's.
If however, you live in fear of an easily avoidable adversary throwing a toaster at you then prepare to be horrified.
Don´t waste your time, watch a classic horror film instead.
