Review of It Follows (2015) by Joey P — 21 May 2016
Most modern horror movies -- even the much-hyped but overdone and mostly boring Babadook--leave me scratching my head and wondering if horror, like heavy metal, is something relegated to the nostalgia bin of my adolescence.
This one, though, gets it right. It balances cheap horror thrills with moody atmospherics and works on so many different levels. Let's just hope it doesn't sequel itself to death.
