It follows? More like it bores. It was not scary at all. They missed a lot of opportunities for jumpy parts. I would have liked more of an explanation of what "it" is or why it follows or where it all began.
My friend and I just kept making jokes that "it" is an STD so watch who you sleep with. Maybe it would have been scarier if the people liked more demonic or something. Long story short, it fails.
