I like scary movies.

But I get tired of the same crap in them the wierd crawling upside down head spinning fast moving demons.

This sticks with a classic scary movie feel music and set design.

I like that you jeer really know when this is set as you can see old tvs and radios in the home.

They are watching old movie and the furniture and clothing is dated.

However they seem to have futuristic devices like cell phones and some wierd clamp shell nook/kindle thing.

The actors...I don't think they swear.

The unknown and the lack of a "monster " like in jaws leaves you looking intensely for it to strike at any moment.

Unfortunately there is a lot of unclarity of the "it" forms.

Also the ending is curious.
