I love this film, every time it comes on TV, you will find me sitting there watching it. Frank Sinatra's "Young At Heart" plays at one point during the movie and truthfully this film makes you feel just like that.

The film is set as a modern day piece, but feels very much like those classic love stories with a twist. Being told through the POV of a journalist for the New York Post, who throughout the film sees the two connection and with a little nudge helps them see it. The characters are well developed and never on screen too long. The photography and look of the film, makes it timeless. Well done.

Nicolas Cage as Charlie Lang; Cage is one of today's actor's who have never disappointed, even if the movie might have. Here his character is a noble, everyday man from NY, who just tries to do what is right, even if the world would rather take the easy way out. This man actually is very much like me, so I have a somewhat connection with how the role was played. One of Cage's best films.

Bridget Fonda as Yvonne Biasi; the emotion that Brdget Fonda brings to role is a convincing one. You feel her anguish in the beginning of the film and than her joy in the middle. By the end of the film, the chemistry between Cage and Fonda is so overwhelming that you just want them together. She is the female side to what Cage's character represents. The decent, kid hearted nature of both characters really brings this film above what it should. Another of her best.

Rosie Purez as Muriel Lang; ahh, from the beginning of the film, you can feel that Cage and Purez's characters did not belong together. Her whole life is based off of material things, whereas Cage's character's life is just wanting to be happy and loved. If I had one gripe with the film, it would be, how the hell did two very different characters ever get together. But that is what Purez did right with the role. From the start you are rooting for Fonda's character to be with Cage. Purez plays a beauty with a venomous bite.

The rest of the supporting cast does a fantastic job, with a beautiful score, great visuals and a one of a kind performance from Isaac Hayes as Angel Dupree, while it seems small, it turns out to be the biggest role of all.

SOUNDTRACK SONGS I HAVE:
